My name is Dee de Araujo and I joined the Governing body at Maidenbower Infant School in November 2022.

I have worked within the NHS as a Dietitian for the last 14 years; first within a hospital setting and now in a community role. I started as a newly qualified dietitian in 2009 and gradually progressed towards a leadership role.

I am currently the Community Lead Dietitian for East Surrey specialising in Motor Neuron Disease, Rare Neurological diseases and Home Enteral feeding in addition to working on service development for the team. I am also a member of the Council of Governors at the social enterprise that I work at and participate in projects of my professional body, namely the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

I am immensely proud to be part of the governing body and want to contribute to the school’s continued improvement and development plan. Furthermore, I wish to ensure that all childrens school experience is as inclusive, diverse and developmentally challenging as it possibly can be.
