Hello,

My name is Elaine Jenkins. I have a background in Education, eventually retiring as Headteacher of Maidenbower Junior School in December 2022. I continue to work part-time as a Support Tutor for mature students entering the teaching profession, as well as facilitating courses on behalf of local teaching hubs set up to develop Primary teachers throughout their chosen career. 

Many moons ago, not only was I employed as a part-time teacher at MIS, but both of my children also attended here and were extremely happily educated in a school that, even then, emphasised fundamental learning values, developed independence and promoted positive relationships; all key to a lifetime of learning successes. As you see from the school's own website, these values are ever higher on the agenda for all MIS leaders today.

I feel honoured and privileged to be able to return to these roots, as it were, to support the school in whatever way I am able to again.
