My name is Elaine Jenkins. I have a background in Education, eventually retiring as Headteacher of Maidenbower Junior School in December 2022. I continue to work part-time as a Support Tutor and marker of Modules, for mature students entering the teaching profession, as well as this, I assess Apprentices as they come to the end of their teacher training. 

Many moons ago, not only was I employed as a part-time teacher at MIS, but both of my children also attended here and were extremely happily educated in a school that, even then, emphasised fundamental learning values, developed independence and promoted positive relationships; all key to a lifetime of learning successes. As you see from the school's own website, these values are ever higher on the agenda for all MIS leaders today.

I feel honoured and privileged to be able to return to these roots, as it were, to support the school in whatever way I am able to again.
